About Thiel Architecture + Design

Founded in 2004, Thiel Architecture + Design is a full-service firm capable of working on a wide range of project types.

Principal Nancy Thiel is a registered architect, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and a LEED-accredited professional, a designation awarded by the US Green Building Council. She has worked for world-renowned architects Michael Graves, David Rockwell, Robert A.M. Stern and Annabelle Selldorf, as well as for award-winning designer Clodagh.

Thiel’s portfolio includes houses, multi-story residential buildings, residential interiors, hotels and restaurants, galleries and fitness clubs, theaters, schools and shopping centers. She has also designed carpeting, lighting, furniture and tabletop objects. Included among her clients are Disney, ING, Cirque du Soleil, The Related Companies, Equinox, Movado, Morgans Hotel Group, Wildlife Conservation Society, Strategic Hotels, New York Cruise Lines, Bryant Park Corporation and W Hotels.

Nancy earned a bachelor’s degree in theater with a minor in dance from Pennsylvania State University and master’s in architecture from Syracuse University.
